Guangdong Jumei Daily Necessities Co., Ltd., a leading integrated daily chemical enterprise, has received formal approval from the Guangzhou Municipal Ecological Environment Bureau – Huadu Branch for its environmental impact assessment, marking a significant milestone in the company's commitment to sustainable manufacturing.

The newly approved project, located in Huadu District's Far East Meigu Industrial Park, represents a total investment of RMB 2 million, with RMB 200,000 dedicated specifically to environmental protection facilities. The facility spans 9,550 square meters with a construction area of 5,340 square meters and is designed to produce 8,280 tons of laundry detergent and 100 tons of laundry sheets annually.

Comprehensive Emission Control Systems

At the heart of the company's environmental strategy are three "two-stage activated carbon"  emission control systems, each serving a distinct production process:

• System 1 (DA001): Captures organic generated during laundry detergent production through enclosed workshop collection, achieving a treatment efficiency of up to 90%-, before discharging via a 15-meter exhaust stack.

• System 2 (DA002): Treats organic from laundry sheet manufacturing through the same two-stage activated carbon adsorption process, also discharged through a dedicated 15-meter stack.

• System 3 (DA003): Collects and treats organic from injection molding and blow molding operations via hood collection, followed by two-stage activated carbon treatment and 15-meter stack discharge.

In addition to these core systems, the facility incorporates a high-efficiency electrostatic oil fume purification system for kitchen emissions (DA004), while crushing dust, filling emissions, and inkjet废气 are managed through enhanced workshop ventilation

Water Resource Management and Waste Handling

The company has implemented a closed-loop water management system where concentrated water and cooling water are fully recycled for internal floor cleaning. Domestic wastewater undergoes pretreatment through septic tanks and grease traps before entering the municipal network, while production wastewater—including equipment cleaning, inspection, and floor washing water—is professionally transported to an industrial wastewater treatment facility.

Solid waste is systematically managed: general waste is collected by sanitation departments, packaging materials are sold to recycling companies, injection molding scrap and non-conforming products are crushed and reused in production, and hazardous materials such as spent activated carbon and waste oil are collected by licensed hazardous waste disposal units.

Commitment to Community and Environment

The facility complies with Class 2 standards of the Industrial Enterprise Factory Boundary Environmental Noise Emission Standard (GB12348-2008) through comprehensive noise control measures including sound insulation, muffling, vibration damping, and distance attenuation.

The approval follows a rigorous review process, including a public comment period from April 15–19, 2024, demonstrating the company's transparency and commitment to community engagement. The environmental authority's evaluation concluded that with full implementation of the proposed pollution prevention measures, the project's adverse environmental impacts can be effectively controlled, with all pollution sources achieving compliant emissions.
